First Aid & Emergency Response by CaLeo Academy is a comprehensive practical learning programme designed to help individuals recognise medical emergencies, respond safely and provide appropriate immediate care during the critical first few minutes of an incident.

Emergencies can occur at home, at work, while travelling, in educational institutions or in public places. Knowing what to do—and what not to do—can make an important difference while professional medical assistance is being arranged.

The course begins with the fundamentals of first aid, personal and scene safety, casualty assessment and activation of emergency medical services. Learners then progress through the management of common injuries and medical emergencies, including bleeding, wounds, shock, burns, fractures, soft-tissue injuries, choking, unconsciousness and other situations requiring prompt assistance.

Dedicated sections introduce cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the principles of using an automated external defibrillator (AED), helping learners understand the structured response to cardiac arrest and other immediately life-threatening situations.

The course emphasises a systematic approach: recognise the emergency, protect yourself and the casualty, call for appropriate help, assess the casualty and provide suitable first aid within your level of training.

Scenario-based learning, visual demonstrations, knowledge checks and assessments are used to reinforce important concepts and prepare learners to respond calmly and methodically in real-world situations.
